Dotnote Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026 (previous version: 26 September 2026)

These terms apply to Dotnote (Android package com.elif.notes), published by Adem Batur (Elif Apps) ("we", "us"). By installing or using Dotnote you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Contact: elifapps.studio@gmail.com.

1. The app

Dotnote lets you write, draw, record and organise notes on your device. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on the devices you own or control, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Your content and backups

3. Free use, plans, ads and limits

Dotnote is free to download. In the current version every feature is unlocked for every user (the Pro plan), there are no ads and nothing can be bought. A future version may introduce a free plan with limits (for example on media per note or on special pens) and ads, next to paid plans; the Privacy Policy will be updated before such a version is released. Notes you already made stay readable and are never deleted because of a plan change.

Signing in with Google is optional. It does not create a Dotnote account; your Google account stays under Google's terms.

4. Paid plans and purchases (when offered)

5. Features that depend on your device and other services

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Dotnote to break the law, to infringe other people's rights, or to try to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app or the services it connects to, except where the law allows it.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, icons and bundled templates belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are listed in the app under About → Open source licenses and are covered by their own licences.

8. Disclaimer

Dotnote is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do our best to keep your data safe and readable, but we cannot guarantee that the app will be error-free or that data can never be lost.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or notes, arising from the use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending use

You can stop using Dotnote at any time by uninstalling it (export a backup first). We may stop offering the app or parts of it; if that happens we will try to give notice so you can export your notes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced in the app or in the store listing. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
